UAM Korea Tech today confirmed that Korean (KIPRIS) and U.S. (USPTO) patent applications have been filed for the BLIS-D platform's high-temperature dry decontamination payload. The applications cover the bleed-air heat source pattern — engine-bleed thermal load adapted to airborne CBRN platform duty without auxiliary heaters or liquid decontaminant supply chains.

What is filed

The patent applications describe:

Bleed-air thermal-management system — engine bleed air conditioned to operating temperature for the dry-decontamination payload
Mode-selection logic — automated transition between hot-dry, hot-wet, cold-dry, and cold-wet modes based on hazard category and ambient conditions
