K-UAM v1.3 News Hub Launch — Multi-RSS Korean Defense News Reader Goes Live

The K-UAM iOS app crossed a meaningful threshold today. Version 1.3 was submitted to App Store Review on 2026-05-20 with a fundamental architectural shift: from a UAMKT internal news viewer into a genuine multi-source news hub purpose-built for Korean defense, aerospace, and CBRN domain professionals.

What Changed in v1.3

Version 1.2 (released earlier in May 2026) delivered the foundation — vertiport countdown, in-app reader for UAMKT articles, dark-mode interface aligned with the Anduril-Helsing aesthetic. Version 1.3 extends that foundation outward.

The four-tab navigation now reads:

• UAM KoreaTech — first-party UAMKT articles (CBRN, vertiport, mobility)
• Industry News, Curated — multi-RSS aggregation from selected Korean defense and aerospace publications
• Articles — bookmark and read-later management
• About — app information and feedback

Full-text search runs across all four tabs simultaneously, and the bookmark layer persists across sessions and devices via standard iCloud sync.

Why Multi-RSS Matters for Defense Professionals

Korean defense and aerospace professionals routinely monitor six to ten separate publications daily. The information cost is not the reading — it is the context-switching overhead. Each publication has its own paywall logic, its own ad layout, its own scroll position memory. Aggregating these sources into a single ICAO-compliant feed-reading surface saves twenty to thirty minutes per professional per day.

K-UAM v1.3 is not a generic RSS reader. The selected source list is curated for the Korean defense-aerospace-CBRN intersection, and the article ranking integrates UAMKT's own pillar taxonomy (CBRN history, decision IQ, technology certification, vertiport infrastructure, mobility integration, and statesmen at the CBRN threshold).

App Store Submission Status

As of 2026-05-20, v1.3 (build 9) is in App Store Review queue. Apple's standard review window is 24–48 hours, which places expected approval and live availability in the May 21–22 window. Existing v1.1 and v1.2 users will receive an automatic update notification once approved.

The submission package includes five updated screenshots reflecting the new four-tab architecture, an updated app description emphasizing the multi-source news capability, and a refreshed Support URL (uamkt.com/contact/general) that responds with a live contact form.

What's Next

Two enhancements are already scoped for v1.4 (target: June 2026):

1. Offline reading queue — bookmarked articles cached locally for in-flight or low-signal reading.
2. Push notification subscriptions — opt-in alerts for specific pillars (e.g., "notify me on new CBRN-CADS articles" or "notify me on vertiport regulatory updates").

For UAMKT, the K-UAM app is not the product. The product is the underlying content engine (uamkt.com and the cbrn-ai pillar architecture). K-UAM is the consumption surface — the channel that places that content directly into the daily workflow of Korean defense and aerospace professionals.
